The world premiere screening of Jungle, directed by Greg McLean starring Daniel Radcliffe, has taken place at the Melbourne International Film Festival on 3 August 2017.
Beach Street Lawyers’ Joan Peters worked as executive producer on Jungle, representing one of the Film’s key investors.
Based on the 1985 memoir of adventurer Yossi Ghinsberg (Radcliffe), Jungle is an adventure drama that follows the ill-fated trek of the 22-year-old Israeli backpacker and two friends – Swiss teacher Marcus Stamm and American photographer Kevin Gale – who in the early 1980s set off from the Bolivian city of La Paz to hike in the Amazon. The backpackers soon find themselves stranded in the dense rain forests of the Amazon basin, turning their dream trip into a fight for survival.
Jungle will have its WA premiere on 24 August 2017 at Cinefest Oz in Busselton WA.
